Our Mission

The mission of the John R. Wooden Award Foundation (JRWAF) is to promote teamwork, academic excellence, and character development in a manner that reflects the enduring values of John R. Wooden. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, recognized as a public charity under Section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). Serving as an Angel organization, JRWAF independently directs funding to educational, athletic, and philanthropic initiatives. Its work is guided by a dedicated board of directors committed to advancing John R. Wooden’s legacy and the timeless principles embodied in his Pyramid of Success. (EIN: 99-2351071)
